What We Do

Four practical programme areas connecting people, learning and nature.

What We Do

Learning by doing.

Four programme areas, rooted in practical learning and local participation.

01

Environmental education

We make environmental learning practical — from climate change basics to testing river health with miniSASS, water conservation, waste and recycling, and caring for local biodiversity. Young people learn by doing, then share what they learn in their own communities.

Partners can support

Workshops for schools and youth groups · river-health monitoring kits · community clean-ups and awareness days

02

Early childhood development

We support ECD centres with learning materials, reading, and simple nature-based activities that build curiosity about food, plants and animals from the earliest age. We also train practitioners and run book drives so more children own books.

Partners can support

Learning materials and books · practitioner training · ECD garden corners

03

Food security & school gardens

We establish and support food gardens at schools, ECD centres, churches and households, teaching soil health, composting, seedlings and water-wise growing. Our AgriHubs at KwaMbonambi and Mkhambathini take this to scale — growing food, training young people and supporting local enterprise.

Partners can support

School and community gardens · AgriHub infrastructure, water and tools · seedlings and inputs

04

Climate change & biodiversity conservation

We help communities understand and respond to a changing climate — caring for rivers and wetlands, greening spaces, and building the skills that make local livelihoods more resilient.

Partners can support

Wetland and river stewardship · greening and tree planting · climate-resilience training
